Another wonderful week in Year 4, minus the sunshine of last week.
We have been busy in English creating our own version of the 'Mousehole Cat', starting with the setting, which we based on Lytham. Our descriptions of Lytham would of impressed the tourist board with the 'emerald carpet' and 'sun kissed jetty'. The children worked particular hard putting together the most vivid descriptions and as a consequence their writing is a delight to read.
In Maths, we have looked into decimal numbers, number sequences and multiplying by 10 and 100. All the children worked hard through their reasoning and problem solving tasks.
Science proved entertaing for some as we looked at different gases. We researched a variety of gases including oxygen, hydrogen and methane. The latter of which caused much hilarity.
Our award winners this week.
