Welcome back to the beginning of the Autumn 2 Term
This week the class have been planning their class worships. Firstly they chose a partner, chose a theme, found a prayer then finally chose a scripture reading to match the theme.
This week the class have been practising their times tables and adding and subtracting hundreds, realising that when they are solving problems, subtraction maths stories can't be written in any order.
During English, we have been learning how adverb starters can help move our writing on in stories and recounts. The class practised using them when they wrote about their holidays.
We have been learning about muscles this week and how they, alongside the skeleton, help parts of our body move and keep upright. They also discussed what would happen if our muscles were weak and what would make our muscles strong.
Computing - Each child now has an ipad when it is our turn to use them.
We have been exploring sites like seesaw, this week, which enables the class to be set work via the teachers ipad, then is sent to all the class on their ipads. Once the activity is completed, the work is saved in the child's folder and then can be shared with the class.
During Geography, we logged onto digi maps, entered our postcodes, found our house, put a marker there, took our photo and put it next to our house.
Lots of great skills being learnt through the use of our new ipads.
A huge thank you to all parents for providing your child with a P.E. kit first day back. All enjoyed taking part in their invasion game lesson.
Lots of tchildren in Year 3 still come to school without a water bottle. Please ensure your child has a water bottle each Monday. Thank you.
