This week has been very busy and exciting.

We had a brilliant day at the zoo on Tuesday. Everybody loved it and the children were very well behaved and a real credit to school.

Please look at the pictures in the gallery.

In English we then wrote a recount about our trip to the zoo concentrating on full stops, capital letters and finger spaces.

In Maths this week we learnt more about fractions: quarters and halves in particular with shapes and objects.

We continue to learn about the Great Fire of London

We also talked a lot about Remembrance Day and 100 years since the end of World War 1. There are many events happening on Sunday in our local area. There is a procession of Remembrance through Lytham on Sunday, St.peter's family mass at 10.30am where the children will process up with wooden crosses, there is a service at Lytham windmill at 6.30pm on Sunday night when a beacon will be lit and images will be projected onto the windmill. You could maybe try to go along and support one of these events.

Our certificates this week are awarded to:

Merit: Autumn

Virtue: Charlie

Writing: Sophia and Reggie.

Well done to them.
