Anti-Bullying Week has been a resounding success! With all of the excitement of the iPads, we have taken a slightly different approach to Anti-Bullying Week. Year 4 have been trying to become Internet Legends, Googles E-safety initiative. The children have loved going into ‘Interland’ and playing through the various games. Within the lessons we have debated the reality of the online world and how it is both the same and different to the real world.
In Maths, we have been reading and converting time between analogue and digital clock faces. We will be continuing this next week with 24 hour time before moving onto mental maths. With a particular focus on the 6 and 9 times tables.
After the great success of our school trip to The Grand Theatre in Blackpool, we have built on our new found enthusiasm for ‘A Comedy of Errors’ with some fantastic active approaches, in the hall, looking at the wonderful scene between Antipholus and Dromio when they realise the town of Ephesus isn’t all that it seems. In the classroom, we have also continued to write our fairy tale of ‘A Pied Piper of Hamlin’.
