Well, it’s half term! I think we are all ready for a break. Year 5 have worked really hard over the past few weeks and there has been a great deal of revision as well as new learning. Earlier this week we wrote some very funny letters to Marta, our school cook. We imagined some of the school dinner food items were actual characters and they were writing to Marta to either complain or to thank her. We had to use different writing techniques to get the reader to read it in a certain way and to show what type of character web were. We will publish them on the first day back in school and give a selection to Marta.

Street Life came on Monday to collect all the food & toiletries we had collected. They were really pleased and grateful.

We had our Zoom assembly on Wednesday morning. Each class explained what they had learnt this half term; Cleo and Amelie were great at reporting for Year 5. Certificates were awarded to:

Writing: Ffion & Jack W

Outstanding Learner: Lilly P & Cleo

Charter (Compassionate & Loving): Oliver

Our new virtues for next half term are: Generous and Grateful
