Welcome to St. Peter's Catholic Primary School
Through loving God, everyone at St. Peter's School is committed to creating a happy, loving, secure environment for learning, which has Christ at the heart of its community, where everyone is valued and shows respect for each other.
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to St Peter’s Catholic Primary School through this website. We hope you find our website clear, informative and easy to navigate. It is designed to give you a flavour of the vibrant life of our school, the work of our pupils and the quality education we strive to deliver based upon our strong Catholic ethos.
St Peter’s is a one-form entry primary school for pupils aged 4 to 11 years. It is a wonderful family community, where our children are supported and encouraged by a team of committed staff, governors and parents. Each child's talents are nurtured and developed throughout their years with us, enabling them to reach their full potential not just academically, but as independent and resilient learners aware and confident in their own truly unique qualities and skills. Underpinning this is the relentless commitment to ensuring that the children of St Peter’s possess the values expressed through the Gospels and the Churches social teaching which enable them to live well in society and prepares them to deal effectively with the challenges that the modern world presents. We encourage our children to make sense of their faith and relationships with God and each other.
Our high expectations and high standards are combined with a sense of creativity, excellence and enjoyment. Our vision is for all children to develop a real love of learning and thirst for knowledge. Our pupils receive a broad, rich and engaging curriculum which allows for consolidation of skills and opportunities to deepen understanding.
We are all proud of our school and our pupils enjoy their learning in a caring atmosphere where they feel safe, secure and valued. Our school motto “Jesus is at the heart of all that we do” is the driver at the centre encouraging and guiding all aspects of school life.
